This page exists so you never have to guess what’s behind a number on this site. If something here isn’t clear, that’s a bug — tell us.
What we rate, and on what
Slots are mapped against a fixed set of attributes so you can compare like with like:
- RTP — the studio’s published default figure, with known variants recorded.
- Volatility — low / medium / high, rated on how the game actually pays, not the marketing.
- Max win — the published ceiling, as a multiple of stake.
- Mechanic & features — verified against the game’s paytable and feature set.
We don’t invent numbers we can’t defend. A slot’s RTP is a published, checkable fact; we quote it and flag where casinos run a lower build. We will never assert a figure we can’t stand behind.
Casinos are scored on the things that actually affect a South African player: the breadth of the slot library, genuine rand support, banking options (EFT, Ozow, vouchers, crypto), and how painless it is to get paid. Welcome offers and payout times change constantly, so we describe them qualitatively and tell you to confirm the current terms on the casino’s own site. Game availability is based on which studio catalogues a casino has integrated — which is how casino libraries actually work.
How we make money — plainly
Where we link to a casino, that link may earn us a commission. That’s how the site is funded. It does not change:
- a slot’s RTP, volatility rating, or max win — those are published facts;
- a slot’s position in any ranking — those are set by the maths and how it plays;
- whether we’ll tell you something unflattering about a casino we link to.
When a commercial partnership influences what you see — a featured placement, say — we label it. Independence isn’t a slogan here; it’s the entire reason the site is worth reading. More on that on our about page.
The lines we won’t cross
- No “due to pay”, no “hot reels”, no systems. The reels have no memory.
- No inflated jackpots or best-case RTPs passed off as typical.
- No pretending online casino play is licensed in South Africa when it isn’t clearly so.
